So here we are again. Smoothie “Saturday”, which is rapidly turning into Smoothie Sunday since we apparently cannot make it to the store earlier than 5 pm on Saturdays. With the addition of the new fridge we are going to start doing a whole week of grocery shopping in one day. We also have this huge freezer in the basement and a new Food Saver so we are also going to start making meals and smoothie mixes in advance.
So here’s hoping that we can just get it together.
This smoothie is the start of a new frontier in our lives. Super healthy smoothies. Levi uttered 6 words that dropped my jaw to the floor…”Can we put veggies in smoothies?” Mr. Picky Eater made that leap and I am totally on board! So we did some research on the best veggies to put in smoothies and the two most popular are spinach and kale. One person ever said that spinach is like iceburg lettuce since it’s raw form it doesn’t have an overpowering taste. But it is packed with the good stuff like vitamins C, A, K, B6 and B2 as well as iron, magnesium, calcium, and protein. And that is just the beginning.
So here’s to your health in 2015….Cheers!
